My Favorite Fanny Serrano Foundation has a new packaging!

Hey everyone! My favorite drugstore foundation has a new packaging!! I was at Sm Las Pinas with a friend the other day to buy a new foundation then I saw this. I thought it was a new one! But no! My favorite foundation has a new and improved packaging. haha! Still the same price, P399.00, 15g.

When some of my followers and friends asked me the following questions:

What foundation do you use everyday?

What is your favorite powder?

What is a good foundation but is affordable?

I always answer them: ‘FANNY SERRANO FOUNDATION, The round one! It’s very nice and affordable too.’

So if you already read my review on this foundation you will know that the only thing i hate about it is the packaging! So when i saw the new one, i felt like someone from Fanny Serrano came across my blog and read my rant about how i dislike the packaging. haha!

You can see on the pictures what’s the difference in the packaging:

1. The cover was changed from a see through plastic to a plain black still with the logo on front. The BAD THING about it is that, if you’re a make up artist you’ll have to check the label or open it first to know the shade. But if you’re using this for personal use it doesn’t matter because you only have one right? The GOOD THING about it is that it is MORE STURDY. I dont know but it feels more firm and durable. haha.

2. Personally, i think it looks more professional or formal.

3. It still has 2 compartments but the mirror is at the top now. No more flip up get the sponge, flip down to get powder on my sponge, flip up again i need to see myself in the mirror! haha. see? 

4. It is tiny-bitsy-slightly bigger and heavier. 

This is my old foundation, the packaging is busted so i had to buy a new one. This doesn’t happen only to me, my sister and friend experienced the same thing.

5. The bottom cover still has more but smaller holes. I still recommend you to keep the box to avoid contamination from the dirt on your bag. haha.

6. AND THE BEST THING ABOUT THE NEW PACKAGING IS THAT: IT IS NOW REFILLABLE!! Refill=cheaper price. Next time you ran out of foundation, you dont need to buy the whole product just the refill. How cool is that?  Great huh? It is not yet available but soon! yey! They made the packaging sturdier so you can use it for a long time. Yey for refills! hahahaha..

May 26, 2012: Saturday Movie date with boyfriend! 

New shoes from ate eireen’s (sister in law) mom. They’re from US, her family visited the Philippines for ate eireen and kuya jthan’s wedding on Jun 1. Tita Doralyn also gave me a nine west wallet. i love it. Thank you so much! 

BTW! Im on retainers now! (Not wearing them on this pic though) No more upper braces. I had braces for more than a year. Got them last Sep 18, 2010. I just realized that i have BIG TEETH pala! Im still practicing how to smile without looking ‘akward’. My sister told me i looked better with my braces! 

Im also wearing the gray contacts i wore on my graduation day. It will expire after 3 months so I had to wear them (but only if i had a long sleep). =P It doesn’t show in this pic but im wearing orange lippies!

First time to eat at BONCHON! Boyfriend ordered this combo (spicy, regular chicken & wings) + 3 rice, 2 ice tea and a kimchi coleslaw). I cant believe i ate 3-4 chicken. It’s so tasty and crispy! I enjoyed the meal. Now i know why Bonchon is always crowded. haha.

Then we watched MIB3. Honestly, I haven’t fully watched the MIB 1&2. haha.. The movie is entertaining and it has a good story. I just cant believe they have that kind of ‘motorbike’ during the 60’s. Oh well, they are the Men In Black. All in all, Nice movie.

Then we head to Cafe Breton at West Gate, Alabang to eat my favorite dessert! Crepe!!

La Defice, it’s basically a banana crepe with almonds, nutella and vanilla ice cream! This is a must try! Bf said it’s his favorite now! Yummmmyyy!!

One of my favorites, Blueberry and cream. love love love this!! If you haven’t been to Cafe Breton, i strongly suggest you visit them and try their crepes!!
